Back in May 2021, the darting community raised over £2000 for a World Championship Trophy for Wayne Warren.

Wayne was so overwhelmed & honoured to receive it, he references it as "The Peoples Trophy".

He also said from the day he received the trophy, he had no right to keep it and would love it to be put to good use.

So we have decided that is exactly what we are going to do.

As you are all aware, we lost a Darting Legend in July last year, the peoples champion, Andy "The Viking" Fordham. He was a great friend of mine and everyone involved with Shownights.

So we have decided we are going to bring another event to the darting calendar and rename the Trophy as "The Viking Cup".

We are going to give everyone the chance to honour the Peoples Champion with a Memorial Open in his name.

Jenny his wife and his children Ray & Emily Fordham have given us their blessing and will be heavily involved with not only pushing the event but also working the event. They are already overwhelmed and thankful to all that have messaged and pledged to the event so far.

The Andy Fordham Memorial Open will be held at indigo @ The O2 on the 23rd October 2022.

This will be an Open for all to enter and hopefully with everyone backing it as an annual event, we hope to see you there.
